The deluxe pod-shaped wicker Moses basket on its own. No stand — buy this if you already have a compatible one, or intend to use the basket on the floor.
A note on stands
Pod baskets have a rounder, deeper footprint than traditional oval baskets. Check any stand you already own actually fits — a standard rocking stand may not hold a pod basket flat and stable, and a basket that rocks side to side on a stand is not safe.
The basket must sit level with no movement except along the intended rocking axis.
Using it without a stand
On the floor is safe, provided the floor is flat and away from radiators, cords and draughts. Do not put a Moses basket on a bed, sofa or table — a baby can shift the basket enough to move it over an edge.
How long it lasts
A newborn to roughly 3 to 4 months, or around 9kg. The real limit is developmental.
Stop using it as soon as your baby can roll over, push up on hands and knees, or sit unaided. At that point they need a cot.
Safer sleep in a Moses basket
- Baby on their back, feet to the foot of the basket
- Firm, flat mattress with a well-fitting sheet, nothing else in the basket
- No pillows, quilts, bumpers or loose bedding under 12 months
- Room temperature 16-20°C
- Same room as you for the first six months

Carrying it
Both hands underneath, never by the handles alone with the baby inside. Check handles and base for wear before every use.
