Quick guidance

• Set up in order: chair height first (feet flat, knees at 90 degrees), then desk height (elbows at 90 degrees), then screen last (top of screen at or just below eye level).
• Use a separate keyboard if you work on a laptop — you cannot position a laptop screen and keyboard correctly at the same time.
• Adjustable lumbar support matters more than padding, and it should meet the inward curve of your lower back.
• Standing desks: alternate rather than standing all day, and build up gradually. Reset the screen height each time you change position.
