A clear raincover that fits over most pushchairs, strollers and buggies.

Fit

Universal, elasticated to stretch over standard seat units with the hood up. Check it clears your hood at full extension before you need it in the rain.

Using it safely

Take the raincover off as soon as you get indoors or into the car. A raincover restricts airflow and traps heat fast — a baby under one in a warm shop can overheat within minutes.

This is the commonest raincover mistake and it happens purely because you forget it is on. Make removing it part of arriving.

Never use a raincover in sunshine to provide shade. It has the opposite effect — use a parasol, which shades without trapping air.

Check the ventilation panels are not folded over or blocked, and that the cover is not resting against your child's face.

Care

Wipe clean and let it dry fully before folding. A damp raincover folded into the basket will smell within days and eventually go mouldy — which is why most people are on their second one by the time the baby walks.

Storage

Folds small enough to live in the pram basket permanently, which is where it should be. A raincover at home is no use.
