The white one is not see-through
Worth saying plainly, because it is the most common complaint about white tops at any price. The white version is knitted in a slightly heavier weight specifically to reduce transparency — so it works without a vest underneath.

Why cotton modal
Modal is made from beech wood pulp. Blended with cotton it drapes better than cotton alone, holds colour through repeated washing, and resists the neckline bagging pure cotton develops.
