The 9ft full-body pregnancy pillow on its own, without a case. Cheaper than the cased version, for anyone who already has a cover or wants to choose their own.

A case is not optional. The pillow itself cannot be machine washed, so it needs a removable cover. We stock 9ft cases separately in white, cream, light blue, pink and grey.

Why side sleeping matters in pregnancy

NHS and Tommy's guidance is to go to sleep on your side from 28 weeks, on either side, because back sleeping in later pregnancy is associated with an increased risk of stillbirth.

Staying there overnight is the difficulty. A full-body pillow makes side sleeping comfortable enough to hold — bump supported from the front, knees separated so your hips stay level.

If you wake on your back, just settle onto your side again. It is the position you fall asleep in that matters most.

9ft or 12ft?

The 9ft at 1.7kg is lighter to shift in the night and leaves more room for a partner. The 12ft is longer, better if you are tall or have a king-size bed, but at three metres it takes over a double.

Worth knowing

A comfort pillow, not a medical device. For persistent back or hip pain in pregnancy, ask your midwife about physiotherapy.

Contact your midwife or maternity unit straight away if you get sudden or severe swelling in your face, hands or feet, a bad headache, vision problems or pain under your ribs. These can be signs of pre-eclampsia.
