Chilli Stunt Scooter Helmet – Black, Sizes S–L, Magnetic Buckle

A lightweight helmet for scooter and skatepark use. At 290g it is light enough that children forget they are wearing it, which is the single biggest factor in whether a helmet actually gets worn.

Construction

In-mould, meaning the polycarbonate outer shell is fused to the EPS impact foam during manufacture rather than glued on afterwards. That bond is what keeps the weight down without losing strength.

The magnetic buckle

Closes with one hand and releases with a squeeze, so a child can fasten it themselves. Ordinary side-release buckles pinch skin under the chin, which is a common reason helmets get abandoned.

Fitting

Measure around the head about 2cm above the eyebrows.

• Small — 53–55cm
• Medium — 55–58cm
• Large — 58–61cm

The rear dial adjusts the fit within each size. The helmet should sit level, two fingers above the eyebrows, and not move when you shake your head. Straps should form a V under each ear with the buckle done up snugly.

Important

Replace a helmet after any significant impact, even if it looks undamaged — EPS foam crushes to absorb energy and does not recover. Replace every three to five years regardless. Never buy or pass on a second-hand helmet. Check the certification label on the helmet itself before use.
