The lighter version of the Base Jumpstart, at 3.2kg against 3.58kg. Worth the difference if your child is at the younger end of 5 to 9, or small for their age — a scooter they can actually pick up and flick is one they will keep using.

Morphing grips

The grips mould slightly to the hands with use and grip better than standard rubber, which means more control and less fatigue.

Which size?

Go for this S version if your child is around 5 to 7, or under about 125cm. The standard Base gives more deck space and will last longer for a taller or older child.

Safety

A correctly fitted helmet meeting EN 1078 should be worn at all times. Knee and elbow pads and wrist guards are strongly recommended when learning tricks. Check clamp bolts and wheel nuts before every ride.
