Why cold pressed matters

Argan kernels can be pressed cold or heat-extracted. Heat gives a higher yield and a cheaper oil, but degrades the vitamin E and fatty acid content that makes argan worth using. First cold pressed means the initial press, at ambient temperature, with nothing recovered from the residue afterwards.

What to use it on

• Face — a few drops as the last step of your routine, morning or night
• Body — apply to damp skin after a bath or shower
• Nails — work into cuticles daily
• Hair — a small amount through mid-lengths and ends, or as a pre-wash treatment on the scalp

It absorbs faster than most facial oils and does not leave a greasy film, which is why it works under makeup.

Produced with a women's co-operative in Morocco. Argan production is one of the few industries in the region that provides independent income for rural women.
