Why an oil cleanser

Oil dissolves oil. Most of what sits on your face at the end of the day — sebum, sunscreen, foundation, waterproof mascara — is oil-soluble and does not come off properly with water and surfactant alone. An oil cleanser lifts it in one pass, which is why it works where a face wash needs two.

What's in it

• Argan oil — vitamin E, antioxidants and fatty acids
• Almond, safflower seed and grapeseed oils — light oils that rinse cleanly

No parabens, alcohols, sulfates, mineral oils, synthetic fragrance or phthalates.

How to use it

Massage into dry skin — dry, not wet, or the oil cannot bind to the makeup. Work over the eyes to lift mascara. Add a little warm water to emulsify, then remove with a damp muslin cloth and rinse.

A muslin cloth makes a real difference here; a flannel is too coarse and a cotton pad drags.

Suitable for

All skin types including sensitive. Oil cleansers suit oily skin too — stripping oil tends to make skin produce more of it.

For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes when not removing eye makeup. Patch test before first use.
