A hand-stitched needlepoint cushion with an evil eye design in deep Aegean blues, backed in navy velvet.
What the evil eye means
The mati is one of the oldest symbols in the Mediterranean, found across Greece, Turkey and the Levant for thousands of years. It is a protective charm — the eye watches back, and is meant to turn away ill intent directed at a household.
Which makes it an unusually apt thing to hang or place in a home, and a considered housewarming gift rather than just a blue graphic.

Where it works
Coastal and Mediterranean schemes, white-and-blue rooms, and anywhere with natural texture — linen, rattan, stone. The blue is deep enough to anchor a pale sofa.
Care
Spot clean the needlepoint face. Do not machine wash. Despite the coastal styling, keep it indoors — needlepoint and sunlight are not friends over a season.
