A hand-stitched needlepoint cushion reading If You Can't Say Anything Nice… Sit By Me, on a green velvet front with a navy velvet reverse.
The joke is the medium
Needlepoint is the craft of samplers and sitting rooms, patient, traditional, and entirely respectable. Which is what makes a line this arch funnier stitched than printed.
It is also the most conversational cushion in the range. People read it and respond, which is either the point or the problem depending on your household.
Details
- Hand-stitched needlepoint front on green velvet
- Navy velvet reverse: fully reversible
- 45cm x 45cm square
- Inner hollowfibre cushion included
Where it works
The green-and-navy combination is more restrained than the brighter slogan cushions, so it suits a room that wants the joke without the colour. Works in a study or a darker sitting room where Good Vibes or Good Byes would be too loud.
Care
Spot clean the needlepoint face. Do not machine wash. Velvet marks with water, blot rather than rub.
