A soy wax candle with a cotton wick, hand poured in England and scented with essential oil blends rather than synthetic fragrance oil.
Why soy rather than paraffin
Paraffin is a petroleum by-product. Soy is plant-derived, burns cooler and therefore slower, and washes out of the jar with hot soapy water so you can reuse it. It also holds essential oils better than paraffin, which is why the scent lasts through the burn rather than fading after an hour.

Getting a good burn
The first burn matters most. Let the melt pool reach the edge of the jar before extinguishing — usually two to three hours. Soy has a memory, and if the first burn tunnels, every burn after it will.
Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn.
Safety
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, draughts and flammable materials. Burn on a heat-resistant surface. Stop burning when 10mm of wax remains.
