Charcoal Hair Removal Cream for Men – All Body, Works in 3–7 Minutes

A depilatory cream formulated for male body hair, which is typically coarser and denser than the hair these creams were originally designed for. It clears hair in three to seven minutes depending on thickness.

How depilatory cream works

The active ingredient, potassium thioglycolate, breaks down keratin — the protein your hair is built from. The hair weakens to a jelly-like consistency and wipes away. Because it dissolves the hair slightly below the skin surface, the regrowth is softer and blunter than the sharp stubble you get from a razor, and there are no cuts or ingrown hairs.

Where you can use it

Chest, back, stomach, arms, legs and the groin area. Not for use on the face, head or genitals.

Directions

1. Patch test 24 hours before first use on a small area
2. Apply an even layer to dry skin, covering the hair completely
3. Leave for three minutes, then check a small area
4. Leave up to seven minutes maximum for coarser hair
5. Rinse with warm water, using an exfoliating glove or loofah to lift the hair away
6. Pat dry — do not rub

Charcoal and bamboo extract are included to help settle the skin afterwards, and the formula is scented to avoid the sulphurous smell depilatories are known for.

Safety

Always patch test 24 hours before first use. Depilatory creams are alkaline and can cause chemical burns if left on too long. Never exceed seven minutes. Do not use on broken, irritated, sunburnt or recently shaved skin, or within 72 hours of another hair removal treatment. Do not use on the face, head or genitals. Avoid contact with eyes. If burning or stinging occurs, rinse immediately with cool water. Keep out of reach of children. Not suitable for anyone with a known thioglycolate sensitivity.
