Blackcurrant and jasmine over a base of patchouli and vanilla. Heady and dark without tipping into heavy — the cassis keeps a tartness running through it that stops the vanilla turning cloying.

The notes

• Top — cassis (blackcurrant), sharp and fruity
• Heart — jasmine, full and slightly narcotic
• Base — patchouli and vanilla

When to wear it

Evening, autumn and winter. The patchouli and vanilla base projects more in the cold, and this is not a scent that disappears politely into the background.
