Why three

Because one is not enough in practice. A muslin cloth should be swapped for a clean one every couple of days — a damp cloth sitting in a warm bathroom grows bacteria quickly, and reapplying that to your face undoes the cleansing you just did. Three lets you rotate while the others go through the wash.

Why muslin rather than a flannel

The open weave lifts cleanser and dead skin without scratching. A flannel is too absorbent and drags; a cotton pad soaks up the product. Muslin is the standard tool for balm and oil cleansing for good reason.

How to use it

Massage cleanser into dry skin, soak the cloth in warm water, wring out and sweep away. Use a clean side each pass.

Machine washable at 30°C.
