Why a stand

It raises the basket to waist height, which saves your back during the weeks you are lifting a newborn in and out twenty times a day. And it rocks, so you can settle a baby without picking them up — often the difference between a baby who resettles and one who wakes fully.

White or grey?

Same function. White suits a lighter nursery and the more traditional wicker baskets; grey hides marks better and works with darker schemes. Both are the same height and fit the same baskets.

Fit

Fits standard-size Moses baskets. Check your basket dimensions before ordering — Pod baskets and oversized designs may not sit correctly. The basket must sit flat and stable, rocking only along the intended axis.

Using it safely

Place on a flat, level floor. Keep it away from radiators, curtains and blind or curtain cords — cords are a strangulation risk and should never be within reach of a sleeping baby.

Never carry the basket while it is on the stand. Lift the basket off first, with both hands underneath.

Lock the rocking function when the baby is asleep or unattended. A basket free to rock can be tipped by a moving baby.

Stop using the stand as soon as your baby can roll or push up on hands and knees — at that point the basket itself should be retired in favour of a cot.
