Vissla North Seas 3mm Wetsuit Hood, Thermal Lined

The Vissla North Seas is a separate 3mm neoprene wetsuit hood for cold-water surfing, made to wear with a wetsuit that does not have its own hood. It is made from super stretch neoprene with a thermal liner inside and a smooth skin outer.

Choosing a wetsuit hood

A hood is usually added when UK sea temperatures drop to roughly 7 to 10°C in winter, together with a 5/4mm or 6/5mm suit, boots and gloves. Vissla advises that the hood should fit snugly to stop water getting in, so a close fit around the face and neck matters more than room to spare. If your wetsuit already has a hood, you will not need a separate one.

Sizing

Sizes are listed as XS/S, M/L and XL/XXL. Choose the size that matches your usual wetsuit size and go for a snug rather than loose fit.

Care

Rinse the hood thoroughly inside and out with fresh water after use, then lay it flat to dry in a cool, shaded place out of direct sunlight.
