Vissla Men's New Seas 5/4mm Hooded Wetsuit, Full Suit

The Vissla New Seas 5/4mm is a men's hooded full wetsuit for winter surfing, rated by Vissla for water of around 8 to 12°C. It has an attached hood and a zip closure that Vissla designs to seal shoulder to shoulder, keeping bulk down around the neck and shoulders.

Choosing a thickness

The first number is the torso thickness in millimetres, the second the arms and legs. UK seas are roughly 7 to 10°C in winter and 15 to 18°C in late summer, so 5/4mm or 6/5mm (often with boots, gloves and a hood) suits winter, 4/3mm spring and autumn, and 3/2mm summer.

Vissla recommends pairing this suit with boots and gloves in cold water.

Sizing

Available in sizes S, MS, M, MT, LS, L and XL. MS and LS are short fits, MT is a tall fit of the base size. Check the Vissla size chart for height, weight and chest measurements before you order.

Care

Rinse the suit inside and out in fresh water after each use and hang it to dry in a cool, shaded place out of direct sunlight. Avoid standing on the suit when changing, and take extra care with the smoothskin panels.
