The Vissla 7 Seas 7mm Round Toe boots are thick wetsuit boots for the coldest surf. Vissla rates them for water of 7°C and colder, and they combine super stretch neoprene with a Brain Fuzz thermal hollow fibre lining.

Choosing wetsuit boots

Boot thickness is chosen alongside your wetsuit and the water temperature. Around the UK, sea temperatures are roughly 15 to 18°C in late summer and drop to 7 to 10°C in winter, when most surfers add boots, gloves and a hood to a 5/4mm or 6/5mm suit. A 7mm boot is for the coldest winter water; for spring and autumn many surfers switch to a thinner boot for more feel on the board.

Sizing

Sizes are UK shoe sizes, with UK9, UK10 and UK11 listed. Vissla says its surf boots fit true to shoe size and should fit snugly to stop water getting in.

Care

Rinse the boots thoroughly inside and out with fresh water after use, then lay them flat to dry in a cool, shaded place out of direct sunlight.
