Vissla 7 Seas 5mm Claw Wetsuit Gloves, Thermal Lined

The Vissla 7 Seas 5mm Claw gloves are cold-water surf gloves with a wind resistant Duramax outer and a thermal hollow fibre lining. Vissla rates them for water of 8 to 12°C.

Choosing wetsuit gloves

Gloves are usually worn in winter, when UK sea temperatures drop to roughly 7 to 10°C, together with a 5/4mm or 6/5mm suit, boots and a hood. Thicker gloves keep hands warmer but reduce feel when paddling, so many surfers keep a thinner pair for spring and autumn and a 5mm pair for the coldest months.

Sizing

Sizes are S, M, L and XL. Vissla says its surf gloves fit true to glove size and should fit snugly to stop water getting in.

Care

Rinse the gloves thoroughly inside and out with fresh water after use, then lay them flat to dry in a cool, shaded place out of direct sunlight.
