Why a different cover

A standard raincover is nowhere near wide enough for a side-by-side. This one is cut to span both seats as a single cover, so there is no gap in the middle where rain gets in — which is what happens if you try to use two single covers.

Check whether your pushchair is side-by-side or tandem before ordering. Tandem doubles need a different shape again.

Using it safely

Take it off as soon as you get indoors or into the car. A raincover restricts airflow and traps heat within minutes, and with two children under one cover that happens faster.

This is the commonest raincover mistake and it happens because you forget it is on. Make removing it part of arriving.

Never use a raincover for shade — it has the opposite effect. Use a parasol.

Check the ventilation panels are not folded over or blocked, and that the cover is not resting against either child's face.

Care

Wipe clean and dry fully before folding. A damp cover folded into the basket will smell within days.

Storage

Keep it in the basket rather than at home. A raincover in the hallway is no use.
