A premium footmuff for a pushchair, pram or buggy.
Why a footmuff rather than blankets
Blankets end up on the pavement. A footmuff is attached to the pushchair and insulates from underneath as well as over the top — and underneath is where a pram loses most of its heat, because a child is sitting on a thin fabric seat with air moving beneath it.
It also means warmth without a bulky snowsuit, which matters the moment you go into a shop and they overheat.
Premium versus standard
The premium version is thicker and better finished than the basic fleece. If it is going to be used through a full winter of school runs and nursery drop-offs, the difference shows. For occasional use, the fleece version does the job for less.
Pushchair, not car seat
Car seat footmuffs have harness slots positioned for an infant carrier and are listed separately. The two are not interchangeable.
Fit and care
Universal, with slots for a standard pushchair harness. Check your slot positions line up before first use. Machine washable, which matters — a footmuff catches everything a child drops.
Using it safely
Always fasten the harness through the footmuff slots and against your child, never over the top of the footmuff.
Watch for overheating. A footmuff plus a snowsuit plus a hat is usually too much for a British winter, and a child cannot tell you. Check the back of the neck rather than their hands — hands are almost always cool.
