A lightweight fleece car seat footmuff with harness slots for 3-point and 5-point harnesses.

Why a footmuff instead of a coat

Never strap a child into a car seat wearing a thick coat. Padding compresses in a collision, leaving the harness dangerously loose at the moment it is needed.

A footmuff solves it. The harness passes through the slots and sits against your child, with the insulation outside the harness where it cannot create slack.

Fleece rather than padded

Lighter and less bulky than a padded footmuff — better for autumn and spring, and for a car that warms up quickly. It also takes up less room in a seat, which matters as your child grows into it.

Fitting it correctly

1. Thread the harness through the slots before putting your child in
2. Buckle against the body, not over the footmuff
3. Two fingers maximum between harness and collarbone
4. Lay the top layer over once secured

Nothing should sit behind your child back or under the harness.

Fit and care

Universal, for standard infant car seats. Check the slot positions line up before first use. Machine washable — wash fleece cool and avoid high tumble heat, which mats the pile.

Only use with the harness through the designated slots. Check slots for wear when washing.
