A car seat footmuff with a dimple-textured finish, in black or grey, with harness slots for 3-point and 5-point harnesses.
Why a footmuff instead of a coat
Never strap a child into a car seat wearing a thick coat. Padding compresses in a collision, leaving the harness loose at exactly the moment it matters — often several centimetres of slack that were not there when you buckled up.
A footmuff avoids that. The harness threads through the slots and sits directly against your child; the insulation stays outside the harness where it cannot compress into slack.
Fitting it correctly
- Thread the harness through the slots before putting your child in
- Buckle against the body, not over the footmuff
- Two fingers maximum between harness and collarbone
- Lay the top layer over once secured
Nothing should sit behind your child back or under the harness.
Fit and care
Universal, for standard infant car seats. Check slot positions line up with your seat before first use. Machine washable.
Safety
Only use with the harness through the designated slots. Check slots for wear when washing.
