Pushchair, not car seat

This is the pram version. Car seat footmuffs have pre-cut harness slots positioned for an infant carrier — this one is cut for a pushchair seat unit. If you want one for the car, look at the car seat footmuffs listed separately.

What it's for

A footmuff keeps a child warm in a pushchair without piling on layers they'll overheat in the moment you go indoors. It also stops blankets ending up on the pavement, which is the main practical argument for one.

Being a full liner rather than a cover, it insulates from underneath too — the side most people forget, and the side a pram loses most heat from.

Using it safely

Always fasten the pushchair harness through the footmuff slots and against your child, never over the top of it. Check your child isn't overheating; a footmuff plus a snowsuit plus a blanket is usually too much for a British winter.
