Choosing wetsuit boots

Boot thickness is chosen alongside your wetsuit and the water temperature. Around the UK, sea temperatures are roughly 15 to 18°C in late summer and drop to 7 to 10°C in winter, when most surfers add boots, gloves and a hood to a 5/4mm or 6/5mm suit. A 5mm boot is a winter thickness; for spring and autumn many surfers switch to a thinner 3mm boot for more feel on the board.

Sizing

Sizes are UK shoe sizes from UK3 to UK8. Wetsuit boots should fit snugly with little spare room at the toe, as loose boots let water in. Check the Sisstrevolution size chart if you are between sizes.
