Choosing wetsuit boots

Boot thickness is chosen alongside your wetsuit and the water temperature. Around the UK, sea temperatures are roughly 15 to 18°C in late summer and drop to 7 to 10°C in winter, when most surfers add boots, gloves and a hood to a 5/4mm or 6/5mm suit. A 3mm boot is a lighter option for cooler spring and autumn sessions and keeps more feel for the board than a thick winter boot. Choose a split toe if you like the feel of separated toes; a round or closed toe boot is the alternative.

Sizing

Sizes are UK shoe sizes, with UK3, UK4, UK5, UK7 and UK8 listed. Wetsuit boots should fit snugly with little spare room at the toe, as loose boots let water in. Check the Sisstrevolution size chart if you are between sizes.
