Choosing and using tie down straps

Tie down straps are used with a roof rack or soft rack to hold boards in place on the car. Follow your rack's fitting instructions, pull each strap tight so the boards cannot shift, and check the straps before every drive and again at stops on longer journeys. Keep the buckle where it will not press into the board, tuck away any loose ends so they cannot flap against the paintwork, and do not exceed your vehicle's roof load limit.
