Why the size matters

Small buggy clips fail in two ways: they spring open under a heavy bag, or the hook is too narrow to fit over a thick pram handle. At 14cm this one takes a proper shopping bag and stays shut.

The thing nobody tells you

Hanging bags on a pram handle can tip it over, particularly a lightweight stroller with a child who is not strapped in, or when you lift the front wheels onto a kerb. Prams tipping backwards from handle-loaded bags is a genuinely common cause of injury.

Keep the weight modest, keep your child harnessed, and take the bag off before you lift the pram. If you regularly carry a lot, use the basket underneath — that is what it is for, and it lowers the centre of gravity rather than raising it.
