Lullaby Trust safer sleep guidance for babies under 12 months is a clear sleep space — a firm, flat mattress with a well-fitting sheet, and nothing else.

That means no quilts, no pillows, no bumpers and no loose bedding while your baby is sleeping. Soft bedding in a sleep space is a suffocation risk and is associated with SIDS.

Use the fitted sheet from this set on the mattress. Anything decorative should be removed before your baby is put down.

Keeping a baby warm safely

Use a correctly sized baby sleeping bag rather than blankets — it cannot ride up over the face, which is why sleeping bags replaced blankets as standard advice.

If you use a blanket, make it a thin cellular one, tucked in firmly no higher than the shoulders, with your baby's feet at the foot of the basket so they cannot wriggle underneath.

Room temperature 16-20°C. Judge warmth by the back of the neck, not hands or feet.

Waffle or dimple?

Both are texture finishes on the same set. Waffle is a flatter, woven-look grid; dimple is a raised spot texture. Neither affects how it performs.

Sized for a standard Moses basket — check your dimensions before ordering. Machine washable, and wash before first use.
