Why a stand

Two reasons. It raises the basket to waist height, which saves your back during the weeks when you are lifting a newborn in and out twenty times a day. And it rocks, so you can settle a baby without picking them up — the difference between a baby who resettles and one who wakes fully.

Fit

Fits standard-size Moses baskets. Check your basket dimensions against the stand before ordering; Pod baskets and oversized designs may not sit correctly.

A basket must sit flat and stable on the stand with no rocking side to side, only along the intended axis.

Using it safely

Place on a flat, level floor. Keep it away from radiators, curtains, and blind or curtain cords — cords are a strangulation risk and should never be within reach of a sleeping baby.

Never carry the basket while it is on the stand. Lift the basket off first, with both hands underneath.

Lock the rocking function when the baby is asleep or unattended. A basket that can rock freely can be tipped by a moving baby.

Stop using the stand as soon as your baby can roll or push up — at that point the basket itself should be retired in favour of a cot.
