Is the Ultimate worth it?
All three Xplor models cover the same ages and the same six stages, £99.99, £119.99 and £129.99. The £30 between base and Ultimate buys specification, finish and the four included accessories, not capability.
Honest answer: if it will be used daily for three years and then passed to a sibling, the Ultimate earns the difference. For occasional use, the base Xplor does the same job.
Folding
Folds for the boot or hallway. Check your boot depth, a folded trike is bulkier than a folded stroller.
Safety
Always use the harness in the parent-push stages. The seat is higher and less enclosed than a pushchair seat.
The brand states the trike is tested to the European toy safety standard EN 71-1.
For independent riding, a correctly fitted helmet meeting EN 1078 should be worn.
Not for road use. Supervise near traffic, kerbs and slopes. No brakes at the independent stage. Check harness, wheels and folding latches before each use, and confirm the fold is locked before your child gets in.
