Deflow Pro Tech Surf Leash, Polyurethane Cord

The Deflow Pro Tech Leash is a lighter version of Deflow's conventional leash, with a polyurethane cord and a thinner cuff designed for comfort. It comes in a 6 ft length with a choice of 6mm or 7mm cord.

Choosing a leash

A leash is usually chosen to be roughly the length of your board, so a 6 ft leash suits boards of around that length and longer leashes suit mid-lengths and longboards. Thicker cords are the usual choice for bigger surf, while thinner cords create less drag in smaller waves. Check the cord, cuff and swivels for nicks or wear before each session and replace the leash if you find any damage.

The cuff goes on the ankle of your back foot. Fasten it snugly so it cannot slip down over your heel, and keep the cord clear of the fins when you paddle out.
