Deflow L'Ocean 3 Piece Traction Pad, 8mm Centre Arch

The Deflow L'Ocean is a three-piece surfboard tail pad designed with Deflow's team riders for high performance surfboards. Deflow describes it as thinner and larger than its other pads; the three pieces let you cover the whole tail of the board, and an 8mm centre arch helps with foot placement when you push through turns.

Choosing a traction pad

A tail pad gives grip for your back foot, and the kick at the end helps you find the tail without looking down. The raised 8mm centre arch gives your back foot a reference point for pushing through turns. Front pads and arch bars for the front foot are separate items. Fit the pad to a clean, dry deck with all wax removed, and lay the pieces out in position before peeling off the backing.
