Deflow 4 Piece Traction Pad, 30mm Tail Kick

The Deflow 4 Piece is a four-piece surfboard tail pad made from 3mm lightweight EVA, for surfers who want grip and a kicked tail under the back foot. It is based on the Deflow 2 piece grip but is a little larger and wider, with a smooth surface over most of the pad and a lined pattern on the key contact areas for extra hold.

Choosing a traction pad

A tail pad gives grip for your back foot, and the kick at the end helps you find the tail without looking down. This model has no raised centre arch, so the middle of the pad stays flat under your foot; if you like to feel an arch, choose a pad with a centre arch instead. Front pads and arch bars for the front foot are separate items. Fit the pad to a clean, dry deck with all wax removed, and lay the pieces out in position before peeling off the backing.
