Car Window Sun Shade – Single, Suction Fit for Rear Windows

A single sun shade that attaches to a rear car window by suction, blocking direct sun and glare from a child in the back.

Why it matters more than comfort

A car interior heats fast in direct sun, and a rear-facing baby in the back has no way to turn away from it or tell you they are too hot. Glare also wakes sleeping babies, which is its own kind of problem on a long drive.

Buy two, not one

Sun comes through both sides of a car across a journey. A single shade covers the window your child is next to now; you will want the other side within an hour of setting off.

Packs of two and four are available and work out cheaper per shade. The four-pack suits two children or a car where shades stay up permanently through summer.

Fitting

Suction cups onto a clean, dry window. Clean the glass first — suction cups fail on dusty windows, and one falling into a footwell while you are driving is a distraction.

Check it does not obstruct your view in the mirrors.

Important

A sun shade reduces glare and direct sun. It does not stop a car overheating. Never leave a child alone in a parked car, in any weather — temperatures inside a car can rise dangerously within minutes even on a mild day, and a sun shade makes no meaningful difference to that.

Care

Wipe the suction cups clean when they stop gripping. Most failures are dirt rather than wear.
