Breastfeeding Cover – Grey Stars, Nursing Apron with Rigid Neckline
BAGS
345 In Stock Out of stock 345
A breastfeeding cover in a grey star print, for feeding out of the house when you would rather not be looked at.
The neckline is the whole point
The rigid curved neckline holds the fabric away from your chest so you can look down and see your baby, and they can see you. You need to check the latch, and a baby who cannot see your face is more likely to fuss and pull off.
A muslin thrown over your shoulder does not do this — it sits flat against you, so you are feeding blind and the baby is under fabric with restricted airflow.
Whether you need one at all
You are legally entitled to breastfeed anywhere in the UK, and under the Equality Act 2010 it is unlawful to ask you to stop or leave. A cover is for your own comfort if you want one, not an obligation.
Many people use one for the first months while getting confident with the latch and then stop. Some never use one.
Fabric
Lightweight and breathable. A heavy cover gets hot for both of you within minutes.
Other uses
Works as a pram shade at the right angle, a changing mat cover, or a light blanket.
Care
Machine washable. Wash before first use.
Safety
Keep your baby in view at all times while feeding. Never leave a cover over a sleeping baby, and do not use it to cover a pram — trapped heat builds quickly.
